The big news in Brazilian football last weekend was the possible agreement between Santos and Neymar, for the player’s return to the team that revealed him. The information was published first-hand by Diário do Peixe, a partner website of Arquibancada Tricolor.
Arquibancada Tricolor received information that Neymar could even make his debut against São Paulo, as early as February 1st. The SanSão derby is scheduled for the first Saturday of February, at 8:30 pm, and could even take place at the Pacaembu stadium, but there is still no confirmation from the São Paulo Football Federation.
According to the source, Neymar would make his debut in the derby against São Paulo, but for this to happen, he would need to be announced as soon as possible by Santos, and start training in Baixada Santista. After more than a year out due to injury, Neymar has only played 2 official matches in the last few months, playing 42 minutes in two games, before getting injured again.
Before facing Santos, which could see the return of idol Neymar, São Paulo will face Corinthians and Portuguesa in the Campeonato Paulista. The Majestoso will be on January 26, while the classic against Lusa will be on the 29th.
